Apple invites public to test iOS18 and other software

Public betas of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, MacOS, tvOS, watchOS, and HomePod software are now available

Participating in public beta programs can help improve upcoming software releases

Apple announced that members of the Apple Beta Software Program and the public can now test prerelease versions of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 14, tvOS 16, watchOS 9, and HomePod software.

Interested users can sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program website. Apple provides instructions on how to back up your device before installing a public beta and recommends using a secondary device for testing to avoid the possibility of losing data.

The public release of iOS 18 is likely to be in September, alongside the iPhone 16.
